This took forever but....here is yet another illustration for Beyond the Realms, but this time for the second part of the story! =D

Because you all know Hiccup and Astrid will at some point reunite. Come on, I'm not that cruel! :XD:

Hiccup and Astrid are looking for something in the Camhaoir Mountains ("Camhaoir" meaning "Dawn" in Irish Gaelic). And of course Astrid is the one in front. We don't want Hiccup to fall in a crevice or something, do we?

If you've paid enough attention, you've already seen Hiccup wearing that outfit in my "Get Up and Run!" picture.

I had a LOT of fun designing Astrid's outfit here. =D

OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!!! I want it so bad! And this raises so many questions. What are they looking for? When did they meet? Since the name of the mountains is in Gaelic, does that mean they're still in Ireland? Why didn't they just set off for home, where there would be no evil mercenaries to stop all the fluff? !?!?!!? Ah, it's so confusing! Anyway, I love the picture, even though the questions it raises probably don't have answers I would find appealing -.- Okay, I really need to find another story to read in the meantime, I'm starting to obsess over this one. I faved, so as soon as the next chapter comes out I'll be all over it.
Oh, and is that Dagmar in Astrid's hand? I didn't expect the protruding blades coming off of it, but it does look cool.

Yes, that is supposed to be Dagmar. It's not a great rendition though. The sword looks a million times better in my mind's eye! ^^;

The questions you ask are actually pretty clever, but of course I can't give you the answers...It would spoil the whole plot. :plotting: But I can tell you that the mountains are not in Ireland. ;)

Not in Ireland? Then why is there name in Gaelic? England maybe? Or closer to Berk in Denmark, Sweden or Norway?

About Dagmar, the description you put in "Footsteps" conveyed it pretty well. This didn't quite fit with that, so I asked to be sure. Still, it's not that bad. The patterns are interesting and give a visual, at least.

As for Astrid's fac I've been trying several different ways to draw eyes recently, that's why. :) Good catch! :clap:
