Ah, that ball. 
That ball is special. About 20 years old. It was Djebel's ball before it became Sérac's.
Djebel was a Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) and a wonderful friend. He died when I was 14, at the age of 14.
Djebel and Sérac spent three years together. They really liked each other, too. I swear Sérac mourned his companion as much as I did. He didn't want to play, and hardly ate for almost two weeks. And even now, Sérac still reacts when he hears Djebel bark in movies my mother filmed with her camera.
So, yeah. Special ball.
